President Tamai to receive Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Medal

On October 18, Yoshiomi Tamai, President of Ashinaga Japan and founder of the worldwide Ashinaga movement, will be awarded the Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Medal in Hyde Park, New York.  The honor is bestowed upon outstanding individuals whose work reflects the ideals of Eleanor Roosevelt, humanitarian, First Lady of the United States from 1933-1945, and Chair of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.  Past recipients have included Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barbara Jordan, Harry Belafonte, Norman Vincent Peale, Pete Seeger and Queen Noor of Jordan.
